The World's Largest Grease Separator

From a custom built miniature 0.5 litre per second 'low height‘ grease separator, to the largest grease separator in the world, Kessel have a worldwide reputation for technical excellence and outstanding workmanship.
And it was this workmanship that was used when manufacturing the largest grease separator in the world, currently in operation at the Emirates Airlines Catering production facilities in Dubai.
According to detailed specifications including the wastewater volume, surge factor, average daily number of meals and average hours of operation, Kessel designed and manufactured the system at their operation in central Germany.
The end result is an advanced and fully automated grease separator capable of handling approx 120,000 meals per day, and a flow rate of 100 litres per second of wastewater. In other words, in spite of thousands of litres of fat-laden wastewater flowing through per day, absolutely no fats, oils or grease is allowed to flow into the wastewater systems in Dubai - an outstanding technical achievement, and one which is of enormous environmental benefit.
